School of Rock.

“I pledge allegiance.. to the band.. of Mr. Schneebly.. and will not fight him.. for creative control.. and will defer to him on all issues related to the musical direction of the band..”
“In the words of AC/DC: We roll tonight.. to the guitar bite.. and for those about to rock.. I salute you.”
“One great rock show can change the world!”
There was this man, Dewey Finn, who was so desperate to be a famous rock star but he was kicked out of his own band. He then pretended to be “Mr. Schneebly” who was really his former band mate, Ned Schneebly, a substitute teacher. He met these skilled children and he told them that they were to join Battle of the Bands. A whole lot of practices were going on until they found out that Dewey Finn is a fraud. The day of the contest came and they were able to convince Mr. S (Dewey Finn) to continue what they started together. Even though their band didn’t win the Battle of the bands, they still rocked, I mean ROCKED, the night away! From then on, the parents of the kids agreed to support their kids on the things they want to pursue.
I bet you’ll enjoy watching this movie even if you’re not musically inclined. It’s so musical from scene to scene that’s why you won’t get bored. The fact that those 13-17 year old musicians are the ones who are really playing adds up to the amazement! For me, personally, I am really addicted to this movie to the point that I’ll have time every night to watch it because I think that the musicians in the film is very talented and skilled (even if in the movie they were introduced as 10 year old pupils). I think I lesson in this movie is that, first, you don’t have to use other people to pursue your dreams and second, is that if you have the heart for what you want, you will eventually get it and you just have to take on the right path.
